  • Strengthens Skin’s Defenses: At its core, Skinovage products are designed to reinforce the skin’s natural protective mechanisms and strengthen the skin barrier against external stressors.
  • Anti-Aging Focus: The range is considered an “Age Preventing System Care,” as it incorporates key ingredients like Alpine Rose Extract and a Marine Polysaccharide to protect against oxidative stress and support skin health, thus counteracting premature aging.
  • Diverse Products: The system includes a full range of products, typically serums, creams (including rich options for night or very dry skin), and other treatments like masks and eye creams.

In short, Skinovage is a holistic, personalized skincare system that focuses on strengthening the skin’s health and protective barrier while addressing individual skin concerns for a visibly vibrant and youthful complexion.

Plasma Treatment

A Plasma Pen treatment, often referred to as plasma fibroblast therapy, is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure for skin rejuvenation and tightening.

How it Works:

The treatment utilizes a pen-like device to create a controlled electrical discharge—a tiny plasma arc—just above the skin’s surface without actually touching it. This arc vaporizes the skin at the treatment point, creating the tiny dots (known as carbon crusts) you mentioned.

This process, called fibroblasting, causes a superficial micro-injury to the outer layer of skin and simultaneously delivers heat to the deeper layers. This targeted, controlled trauma immediately causes the surrounding skin tissue to contract and shrink, providing an instant tightening effect.

What it Treats:

It is commonly used to reduce the appearance of:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles (e.g., crow’s feet, smoker’s lines).
  • Sagging skin, particularly around the eyes (non-surgical blepharoplasty), neck, and jowls.
  • Acne scars and stretch marks.

Aftercare and Results:

The tiny carbon crusts typically fall off naturally within about 5-10 days. Swelling and redness are common temporary side effects. While initial tightening is visible, the full results—as new collagen is produced—develop gradually over 8 to 12 weeks, and the effects can last for several years.

CoolJet Plasma Treatment

CoolJet Plasma is a non-invasive, advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a cool atmospheric plasma technology to address a wide range of cosmetic and dermatological skin concerns.

How It Works:

  • Plasma Energy: The treatment utilizes a specialized device to convert gases in the air (Oxygen and Nitrogen) into a stream of non-thermal plasma. This “fourth state of matter” is highly energized.
  • Deep Penetration without Damage: The cool plasma stream is delivered to the skin’s surface without causing the surface trauma or visible skin ablation (burning) associated with older, hotter plasma or traditional fibroblast treatments.
  • Cellular Remodeling: The plasma energy penetrates the epidermis into the dermal and subcutaneous layers of the skin, where it stimulates a significant increase in the production of collagen and elastin. This effectively remodels the skin’s cellular structure from the inside out.
  • Ozone Plasma Benefits: The process also creates ozone plasma, which has powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it highly effective for treating active acne.
  • Enhanced Absorption: A key benefit is that the plasma temporarily increases the skin’s permeability, allowing topical serums, peptides, and other active ingredients to penetrate much deeper for enhanced results.

Key Benefits and Uses:

  • Anti-Aging: Tightens and firms the skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Acne Treatment: Kills acne-causing bacteria, reduces inflammation, and helps clear blemishes and scars.
  • Tone & Texture: Reduces hyperpigmentation, smooths overall skin texture, brightens the complexion, and tightens pores.
  • Low Downtime: The treatment is generally painless, requires no numbing, and has minimal to zero downtime, allowing clients to return to their normal activities immediately.
  • Skin Health: Calms inflammation (beneficial for conditions like rosacea and eczema) and promotes overall healthy skin regeneration.

CoolJet Plasma is considered a modern, gentle, and highly effective option for achieving a firmer, clearer, and more radiant complexion.

DERMAPEN 4

The Dermapen 4 is the latest and most advanced iteration of the Dermapen brand of microneedling devices, which is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT).

It is a non-surgical treatment that leverages the skin’s natural healing ability to achieve rejuvenation and correction.

How Dermapen 4 Microneedling Works:

  1. Controlled Micro-Injury: The Dermapen 4 is a pen-like device with a disposable cartridge containing 16 fine needles. The needles oscillate (move up and down) at a high speed. The device creates thousands of fractional, vertical micro-channels in the skin’s surface.
  2. Collagen Induction: These controlled micro-injuries trigger the body’s natural wound-healing response. This process stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, which are the essential building blocks for firm, smooth, and youthful skin.
  3. Enhanced Infusion: The micro-channels allow topical serums, called “Meso-Glides” (chosen to address specific skin concerns like scarring or pigmentation), to penetrate up to 80% deeper into the skin than standard topical application, significantly increasing their effectiveness.
  4. Advanced Technology: The Dermapen 4 is faster and more precise than previous models, delivering 1,920 puncture channels per second. This increased speed and precision lead to reduced discomfort and shorter treatment times. It also features a dedicated Scar Treatment (“ST”) setting for targeted and deeper remodeling of scar tissue

Key Benefits and Uses:

  • Anti-Aging: Reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and tightens and lifts the skin by boosting collagen and elastin production.
  • Scars: Significantly improves the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, and old trauma scars by promoting the breakdown of old scar tissue and the formation of new, healthy skin
  • Texture & Tone: Minimizes enlarged pores, improves overall skin texture, and smooths rough patches.
  • Pigmentation: Helps to correct uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and sun damage by promoting cell turnover.
  • Stretch marks: Stimulates the formation of new tissue and collagen within the stretch mark, helping to diminish their appearance.

Hair loss: Can be used on the scalp (in some protocols) to stimulate circulation and hair follicle growth.

Skin Lesion Repair

skin lesion removal with lamprobe

This procedure is a cutting-edge, non-invasive electrodessication process that utilizes a specialized device to treat various skin imperfections and benign growths. Unlike traditional methods, this system employs a fine probe or needle to deliver a precise blend of radio- and high-frequency currents directly to the target area. The device uses the principle of thermocoagulation, which is the controlled application of heat to achieve a desired result.

The ultra-fine needle focuses the electrical energy to evaporate and gently desiccate (kill) the excess skin cells responsible for the growth or imperfection. This targeted approach ensures that the surrounding healthy tissue remains unharmed, leading to minimal downtime and superior cosmetic results.

The treatment is rapidly growing in popularity not only for its proven effectiveness but also for its highly targeted, non-invasive technique. The precision allows practitioners to work only on the affected areas, no matter how small or delicate they might be. This makes it an ideal choice for sensitive facial areas. Patients appreciate the speed of the treatment and the fact that it avoids the cutting, stitches, and scarring associated with older, surgical removal techniques.

This versatile technology can be safely and effectively used to treat a wide array of common skin concerns, including:

  • Broken Capillaries (Telangiectasias)

  • Acne Pimples

  • Seborrheic Keratosis

  • Sebaceous Hyperplasia

  • Discolouration from Sun Damage

  • Skin Tags (Acrochordons)

  • Milia

  • Xanthelasma

  • Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra (DPN)

This advanced system provides a precise, quick, and aesthetically pleasing solution for clearing skin imperfections.

Elipse

ELLIPSE

The Ellipse Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) system is a sophisticated device that uses light-based technology for a wide range of skin and hair treatments. It is often highlighted for its advanced use of filtering and controlled light pulses compared to older, broader IPL systems.

The technology is frequently used for a procedure known as Photorejuvenation (or IPL Photofacial).

How Ellipse IPL Works (Selective Photothermolysis):

  1. Broadband Light & Filtering: Unlike a laser that uses a single wavelength of light, the Ellipse IPL uses a broad spectrum of light (multiple wavelengths). Its key feature is its patented Selective Waveband Technology (SWTâ„¢) or Dual Mode Filtering, which filters out potentially harmful or ineffective wavelengths. This ensures that only the most beneficial and precise wavelengths of light are delivered to the skin.
  2. Targeting Chromophores: The filtered light pulses are absorbed by specific colour-targets (chromophores) in the skin. The main targets for skin treatments are:
    • Melanin: The pigment found in brown spots, sun damage, and freckles.
    • Hemoglobin: The red pigment in blood, which is the target for broken capillaries, spider veins, and general redness (like Rosacea).
  3. Conversion to Heat: The light energy is absorbed by the chromophore and converted into heat.
    • For pigmentation, the heat destroys the cells containing the excess melanin. These spots then darken and eventually flake off (like coffee grounds) in the days following the treatment, revealing clearer skin.
    • For vascular lesions (redness), the heat coagulates the blood inside the vessel walls, causing them to collapse and be naturally cleared away by the body.
  4. Collagen Stimulation: The heat generated in the deeper layers of the skin also stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, which improves overall skin texture and firmness over time.

semi-permanent make-up

Semi-Permanent Makeup (SPMU), also known as cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation (e.g., microblading, powder brows, lip blush), is a procedure that implants pigment into the upper layers of the skin. Unlike traditional tattoos, the pigment is designed to fade over time.

LONGEVITY: WHAT TO EXPECT

SPMU is considered “semi-permanent” because the pigment is not implanted as deeply as a traditional tattoo, allowing the body to naturally metabolize and break down the colour over time.

  • Duration: Results typically last between 1 to 3 years, depending on the area treated, skin type, and lifestyle factors.

  • Fading Factors: The speed of fading is influenced by:

    • Skin Type: Oily skin tends to fade pigment faster than dry skin.

    • Sun Exposure: UV rays are the number one cause of premature fading.

    • Skincare Products: Regular use of ingredients like Retinol, Glycolic Acid, and other chemical exfoliants on or near the treated area will accelerate fading.

    • Metabolism: An individual’s cellular turnover rate affects how quickly the pigment is broken down.

    • Maintenance: To keep the colour fresh and the shape defined, a “colour boost” or touch-up session is generally recommended every 12–18 months.

ESSENTIAL AFTERCARE

Proper aftercare is crucial for achieving the best results and maximizing pigment retention. The initial healing phase lasts approximately 7–14 day
